PAN Card Registration

The Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a unique 10-digit alphanumeric code, such as AAAAA0000A, issued by the Indian Income Tax Department. This card is provided to individuals or businesses who apply for it, or to those to whom the department assigns the number without application.

While obtaining a PAN card is voluntary, it is mandatory for certain transactions. If a financial transaction exceeds a specified limit, quoting a PAN is required. Moreover, businesses must apply for a PAN card within 30 days of their incorporation or formation.
